Learn quilting techniques with this first class in our beginner's quilting series. You will learn how to quickly and accurately use a rotary cutter, piece strips together with a quarter inch seam, square up blocks, and add borders to your quilt top. At the end of class you will have a completed quilt top. This is the second class in our Beginning Quilting series. In addition to refining the skills you learned in Quilting 101, you will also learn how to piece 1/2 square triangles, assemble different types of blocks, and add sashing. This beautiful jewel effect is created using the Creative Grids 60 degree ruler. Learn how to use this ruler and practice cutting and sewing angles. The Easy-Connect Quilting technique, combined with specially designed embroidery files, makes it possible for you to create edge-to-edge quilting using your home embroidery machine. Class Fee $40 Instructor: Eileen Srock - - - - - Frances Firefly Tuesday Series: Begins March 19
This colorful creation uses a jelly roll to create the five fireflies, plus fabric for background and the center and "light" of the fireflies. You'll get experience sewing half square triangles and will learn how to successfully sew on the bias. Meets 4 Times Class Fee $70 Instructor: Shanda Pool
