Did you know that we host a FREE Open Sewing Day every month? Our next Friday Open Sewing is THIS Fri. 9/28. (Only 2 spots remaining.) It is free to join, but you need to RSVP to make sure we have a spot for you! You can stay for as long as you like (from 10:30am to 4:30pm), and you have our classroom tables, cutting table, and iron available for your use. Upcoming Friday Open Sewing Dates (4th Friday of each month) - skipping October 2018 (event happening in store) - - Fri. Nov. 23: Black Friday Sewing! - - Fri. Dec. 28 -  Volunteer Day at Creative Sewing Center Thursday, October 11 10am - 2pm Days for Girls is changing the status quo for girls across the globe, through menstrual care solutions, health education, and income-generation opportunities.
Join us as we support these efforts and prep menstrual care kits! We will have supplies and machines available. Possible tasks include cutting fabric, ironing, sewing, and serging. Global Girls Festival Thursday, October 11 Days for Girls is celebrating the United Nations’ International Day of the Girl and our birthday, with a historic worldwide event. We're calling on the world to make shame and stigma around menstruation a thing of the past. #NeverAlonePeriod As part of this celebration, we are launching a special campaing - #NeverAlonePeriod - to sound the bell loud and clear to every corner of the planet that women and girls will no longer be alone in suffering lost opportunity, dignity, and health due to something as basic and natural as having a period.

CLASSES - - - - - Learn to Quilt Your Project
Saturday, October 13 10:30am - 1:30pm You will learn different techniques for quilting together your quilt top, batting, and backing. You will work with a 22-inch square sample piece - we will not create an actual project in this class. Monday, Oct. 15 1:30pm - 4:30pm Monday, Oct. 22 & Monday, Nov. 5 1:30pm - 3:30pm The Blue Onion swirling blocks are made from a variety of contrasting prints. To change it up - make them out of any 12 contrasting prints that you like. The arcs are long and gentle which makes them easy to sew. Work with 6 different prints at a time to make one set of blocks. Finished quilt measures 50 inches x 70 inches. Saturday, Nov. 3 10:30am - 1:30pm Learn how to bind your quilted projects. You will learn how to cut both cross grain and bias binding strips and prepare them for binding. Try out two different ways to attach your binding to your quilt, and learn how to miter the corners. See supply list Class fee $35 (6 spots remaining) |
