Summer Sewing Camp for Teens & Tweens Learn the basics of sewing and go home with 3 finished projects!
Sewing machines will be provided for students to use in class. No sewing experience necessary! All 2018 Summer Sewing Camps will meet for 5 days (Monday - Friday) for 3 hours each day. Students will complete a pincushion, pillow case, and lap quilt. 4 Camp Sessions Available Teens (ages 13+): July 16-20 (1pm - 4pm) Teens (ages 13+): August 6-10 (9am - noon) Tweens (ages 9-12): July 16-20 (9am - noon) Tweens (ages 9-12): August 6-10 (1pm - 4pm) Camp fee of $209 (per student) includes all fabric, thread, patterns, and use of sewing machine Sewing Summer Camps take place at Creative Sewing Center 11 N. 1st St. Geneva, IL 60134 Do you know any teens or tweens who might be interested? Help us spread the word! Embroidery Software Event We are excited to present a 2-day embroidery software event with national educator Debbie Cleek!
Follow along with Debbie as she shows you how to create and edit exquisite embroidery designs using Embroidery Works and Creator software. You will not need your embroidery machine. If you wish, you can bring a laptop computer and use a demo version of the software to work through the designs with Debbie. (You will be able to watch all of Debbie's work on our large projector screen, so don't feel like you need to have a laptop with you!) August 1-2 (Weds/Thurs) 10am - 4pm Register by July 18 for Early Bird Rate ($89) Regular Registration Rate $109 Lunch will be provided (included in fee) FEATURED CLASSES . . . . . Cake Mix Recipes Sampler
June 13, 20, 27 (Wednesdays) 2pm - 4pm Do you want to have fun designing your own quilt? Then this class is for you! We will be using “recipe cards” from each of the 8 Cake Mix Recipe packs, adding one layer cake of print fabrics and one layer cake of light solid or tone-on-tone fabrics, then mixing them up to make our own delightful creations. This is a great way to get your creative juices flowing, learn how to design blocks, and sew perfect half triangle squares the easy way. Class fee $60 Blossoms Table Runner
June 18 and 25 (Mondays) 1:30pm - 3:30pm Practice your piecing and applique skills to make the top of this Blossoms Table Runner. You will also learn how to use the Creative Grids Circle Savvy Ruler and incorporate curves into your sewing designs. Class fee $45 Kimberbell Exclusive Club June 2018 Summer Popsicle
Did you ever count the days of summer in popsicle sticks? With three layers of icy sweetness, the pieced popsicle block features crosshatch quilting on the large and medium sizes with optional ribbon loops for hanging. Design Only: $10 Class: $20 (You must be a member of the Kimberbell Exclusives Club to purchase this design and take this class. It's easy to join!) There are 2 date options for this class: Tues.
