Learn to Quilt Piece on a Serger
The Quilt uses the pattern Pocket Change by Annie Smith and is available in our shop. We will piece the serger using several techniques to enhance your quilt. The pattern suggests using a 2 1/2" strip set and coornidating low volume fabric. I will share a variety of strategies on layout options. The quilt can be made to a variety of sizes.
Supplies:
-Pattern Pocket Change (available in our shop)
-Serger, regular serger foot & cover stitch foot if machine has cover stitch.
-3 spools of cotton thread for piecing
-Coordinating decorative threads (used 2nd session*)
-Rotary Cutter
-18" x 6" or 24" x 6" ruler
Fabric
-Strip set or strips of coordinated fabics cut into 2 1/2" strips. You will want 27 to 30 strips.
-2 yards of coordinating low volume fabric
-1/3 yard of a solid coordinating fabric
Finished quilt will be approx. 64"x 68". We will discuss options of size adjustments.
*We will discuss at 1st session.
