Serger Club: Zippers & Mesh

Grab your sergers and a few supplies to join us in learning just how fun zippers can
be to install. Yes fun! And on your serger! In this class, we will also be playing with
two different kinds of MESH.
The Melody Bag is from Pam Damour of The Decorating Divas’ Alphabet Line.
(She has given special permission to adapt the written pattern for the serger and teach it
in our class, even though it is still in creation and not released to the public!) This bag is
genius with hidden stabilizer and seams, plus a fun rounded top on sturdy mesh
with double zipper pull opening for wider access!
The second bag is another SewNettie creation that is brand new and without a
name. (Suggestions welcome). We will be using a softer mesh and learn tricks for
stabilizing to achieve strong seams. With a cinch closure, this bag is very versatile
and a fast make. You’ll want to make over and over. (You could also make them in
solid fabric in a variety of sizes and use as gift bags!)
CLASS KIT
The class kit is sold separately and required as it will have all of the materials,
including zipper and pulls that you need to make both bags! (Note: colors and fabrics
will vary from class-to-class and maybe even student-to-student.)
