Bag Making: A New Take on the Mondo Bag

In this 2-part class, we will explore a new take on QuiltSmart’s MONDO BAG! Ombre! The foundation of these wonderful bags is gridded iron-on interfacing that makes for joining perfect corners! We will play around with placement of fabrics to get the desired effect.
PATTERN
Please purchase the MONDO BAG Pattern by QuiltSmart from your dealer if you haven’t already done so. You need the FULL version, as it includes the four pieces of the gridded interfacing required to make the bag easily.
MATERIALS/NOTIONS
Please refer to the pattern and purchase the necessary materials, stabilizers and components detailed. The store has jelly rolls and charm packs to choose from which make this project a breeze!
PREPARATION / HOMEWORK
Please come to the FIRST class with all your 2.5” squares cut out.
There will also be a bit of homework between the first and second class, which we will go over in detail before you leave first class.
Remember, this is all for fun. So NO stress and we’re here for any and all questions.
Also, you DO NOT have to do ombre to take and enjoy this class! You can lay out your squares any way you choose!
