Have you heard? There’s a new club in town at Creative Sewing & Quilting!

SERGER CLUB CLASSES

Join us as we gather to get more and more comfortable with our sergers! Each time we meet, we’ll be working on techniques and often some type of project using those techniques. We will also have some time to share and ask questions.

Feel free to bring in examples or photos of things you’d like to create. Maybe you’ll inspire a future class!

SERGER CLUB: Back to Basics

This class will focus on understanding the Serger.

We will cover things like: threading, tension adjustment, differential feed, basic stitches, practice stitching, finishing seams and possibly light troubleshooting.

Workbook for you to fill with samples included in cost of class.

Basic Serger Supply List

•          Nipping scissors
•          Seam Ripper
•          Clips (pins are NOT recommended for the serger)
•          Double Eye Needle
•          Glasses (if you need/have them)
•          Strips of scrap fabric
•          Serger
•          Serger Feet
•          5 different colors of serger thread (for Back to Basics)
•          4-5 spools for Serger Thread (to match/coordinate with your project)

Here are some answers to questions that have already come up:

Is there a Club Fee?
Nope. There is no overall club fee. Each class/meeting will have its own cost based on topic/project.

Do we have to commit to every class?
Nope. Classes will be scheduled individually, so you sign up and attend when you can.

Topics/Techniques will vary between classes – so you can sign up for what interests you!

Do we bring our own serger?
Yes please! Our whole goal is to get comfortable using our sergers more!
