Learn to Sew Knits: Make a T-Shirt
Learn how to make your own t-shirt using stretchy, knit fabric! We will primarily be using sergers, but you are also welcome to use your sewing machine.
We will be using the Concord T-Shirt pattern by Cashmerette (available in store). There are 2 patterns: one for sizes 0-16 and one for sizes 12-32.
Learn how to transfer your pattern size onto tracing paper, cut out your pieces, and assemble your fabric into your very own t-shirt.
This is primarily a serger class. If you do not own a serger, you are still welcome to join and bring your sewing machine.
(This project will be easiest to complete on a serger. You can use either a 4-thread or 8-thread serger in this class.)
At our 1st class session, we will take measurements, trace out the appropriate size pattern pieces, and cut out our knit fabric.
At the 2nd class session, we will sew the t-shirt together.
All of the supplies for this class are available for purchase at our store.
