Baby Lock Owner: Sewing Guide 2 Class

We will explore creative uses for your new Baby Lock machine. The decorative sewing techniques that will be covered are applique, twin needle sewing, heirloom sewing, and free motion quilting. If you had additional feet included with your machine that were not covered in class 1, please bring them and we will cover them in this class.

Creative Classes


Create this adorable Kimberbell Christmas quilt with us! Class takes place over 4 sessions. Quilt kit and pattern required to take this class. (Quilt kits are in limited supply - order yours ASAP!)

Learn quilting techniques with this first class in our beginner's quilting series. You will learn how to quickly and accurately use a rotary cutter, piece strips together with a quarter inch seam, and square up blocks. At the end of class you will have a completed quilt top.

This is the second class in our Beginning Quilting series. In addition to refining the skills you learned in Quilting 101, you will also learn how to piece 1/2 square triangles, assemble different types of blocks, and add sashing. At the end of this class, you will have completed the top of this quilt.

This is the third class in our Beginning Quilting series. You will further your skills with 1/2 square triangles, adding sashing, creating 4-patch squares, and more complex quilt construction. At the end of this class, you will have completed the quilt top.

Learn the basics of sewing as you create this sleek, slim bag - perfect for tucking in your laptop or tablet when you're on the go. Fabrics, materials, and pattern are included in the cost of this one-time class - plus we provide a machine for you to use!

Learn how to bind your quilted projects. You will learn how to cut both cross grain and bias binding strips and prepare them for binding. Try out two different ways to attach your binding to your quilt, and learn how to miter the corners.

These fun zippered bags (designed by Missy Billingsley of "Missy B Stitchin") are made entirely in the embroidery hoop! They are designed to use 2.5" fabric strips and have no raw edge seams showing inside. Multiple sizes available! From the 4" x 4" hoop to the largest 10-5/8" x 16" hoop.

Check with us if you have a different machine so we can see if our feet will work on your model.)

How do I register?

Many classes offer online registration. (This excludes our Kimberbell Exclusives Club and Machine Owner Classes - register via phone or in person). You can call us at 630-208-6789 to register for any class.

How do I pay?
Payment is required at the time you sign up for the class. We are able to accept credit card payments for online registrations and over the phone (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express). Cash or checks are also accepted in store.
