Or it can be used for an overnight bag when traveling. Room for the water bottle everyone carries as well as room for a book when the teacher is boring! This bag can be embroidered to your heart's delight or it can be made with a variety of fabrics to give it your “personal” look. It has 3 zippers for keeping stuff together as well as a divider in the middle of the tote. Sound interesting? Sound like you want to make one? Come see the sample at the St. Charles store.

This class is not for the faint of heart but help is available to help you finish your tote to take home with you.
Rumor has it that plastic bags are filling our landfills and will be abolished in the not to distant future. In order to protect our environment, we need to stop using so much plastic. To that end, come and learn to make an sturdy, fully lined, tote bag to carry your groceries in. After you learn the techniques of making this tote bag, you can expand on the idea, embroider your bags to customize them and make them YOU. These would make great gifts too to encourage others to not use plastic. This class is for anyone with a straight stitch sewing machine. Come to class with 1¼ yard of cotton fabric, thread to match, scissors and a straight stitch machine – don't need a fancy machine for this class.
